Acknowledge the full context of mtf and ftm

I feel like people really should acknowledge the context of mtf and ftm. By itself it is a very unfortunate taken of context phrasing, because people take it literally. In reality, it can be used properly, but also be misused just like dgab. Here’s an example of how it should be used, within its intended context: “I am getting a legal sex reassignment from male to female”. Meaning, we are assigned a gender, and often get reassigned mtf or ftm.

I do suppose that if you have not had a previously assigned gender, or you’re in a place with more options. You could simply replace m or f with n. These terms do not describe transitioning, they do not describe hrt or surgeries. They are literally just an acronym taken from a legal process. It should only be used to describe things like “ftm reassignment”. It is only a reference to previous and new assigned gender. Often coinciding with gender assigned at birth. Also, another thing to point out. Do not push blame on nb people or trans people for using these terms. Educate them, or acknowledge it can be correctly used. However I feel like maybe you should be wary of cis people using them.
